HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) in-house Training by the English Language Department

The English Language Department organised an in-house training of HOTS for all the English teachers on Saturday, 8th February 2014 in the computer lab. The training was conducted by Mdm Sng Mee Siong who had attended the course earlier on. A total of 16 morning and afternoon session teachers attended the training.

The teachers were introduced to HOTS and its implementation in lessons and examinations. It was then followed by a task where teachers were sorted into four groups to come up with HOTS questions. At the end, the groups presented their materials and constructive feedback and comments were offered to enrich the outcomes. All the materials constructed would be kept for future use.

Kejohanan Bola Jaring Piala Pengetua SMK Pending

Kejohanan Piala Pengetua SMK Pending 2014 Anjuran Bersama Kelab Bola Jaring dan Kelab Sains Sukan berlangsung selama sebulan dari 8 Februari hingga 8 March 2014. Pusingan pertama dibuat secara liga satu pusingan yang diadakan pada 8 Februari 2014. Pusingan kedua secara home and away bermula 19 Februari hingga 6 March dan pusingan akhir secara kalah mati pada 8 March2014.

Sebanyak 8 pasukan yang mengambil bahagian dalam kejohanan ini iaitu Pending 15, Pending 18,Seni 15, Seni 18, Sakura, SMK Kuching, SMK Batu Lintang dan Vokasional Kuching.

Pada pusingan pertama pada 8 Februari telah dilaksanakan dengan jayanya. Johan Pending 18, Naib johan Pending 15 dan tempat ketiga Sakura.
